Regional Executive News
As I write this in late February, we just had are largest snow storm of the season. It will still be a little while before the Corvette season begins in Michigan. However, I did see one Corvette out once the roads were cleared. Congratulations to that driver and all other Corvette enthusiasts who have ventured out between the snow storms.
The Covid-19 pandemic is still working to impede our activities but, we are a resourceful group. As an example, even though large gatherings were still prohibited in Michigan, several of our clubs are finding ways to meet. Zoom or other meeting formats are becoming popular.
Along that line, we held our recent regional meeting in an electronic format. During the meeting, the main topic was picking or bidding on dates to be used in the upcoming competition year. Hopefully, we will succeed with each and every one of these events despite the pandemic. My thanks go out to Capital City Corvette Club member Kyle Felts for hosting our regional Zoom meeting for us.
As we approach the 2021 Corvette season, we are all looking forward to the camaraderie with our friends as well as making new acquaintances. The pandemic severely hampered our 2020 season so we are anticipating good times at our autocross, rallye, and concourse events for the 2021 season.
In closing, I would like to wish everyone a happy, healthy, and prosperous 2021.
